Great bbq and catfish. People are so friendly and the place is always very clean!

Been going for years for it's consistently good bbq. Reviews claimed that they also have great catfish on Fridays so we decided to try it. Catfish dinner is pretty darn good and fairly priced. The onion rings may be the best in Collierville.

Do NOT recommend this place. We got there over an hour before they closed and ordered a few hamburgers as well as chicken fingers and BBQ plates. The girl taking our order was sweet enough, but the workers (and possibly manager or owner?) behind the counter began to complain about having to cook the burgers, each stating that they didn't want to do it. Then they turned to us and said it would be a while for the hamburgers because they were frozen. When the food came out, within reasonable time, everything on my plate was cold with the exception of the hushpuppies. The baked beans were as if they had come straight from the refrigerator, as was the BBQ sauce on the sandwich. Not impressed at all, especially with the attitude of the staff, and the food was hardly mediocre. Only gave 2 stars because my son liked the chicken fingers and the onion rings were all right and the cashier was kind.

The food and service were great and plentiful! We really like Cap’n John’s BBQ and all of the sides especially the onion rings!

Catfish plate with onion rings and barbecue beans. Absolutely delicious! One of the best places to eat in the midsouth.

We love Captain John’s BBQ!! We go there at least once per week!! The staff is friendly and the food is YUMMY!! It’s the down home hot spot to go to where Everybody knows your Name and treats you like family!!!

Onion Rings are the best thing going there. Food is mediocre nothing fancy or special... I had onion rings with this burger but they didn't make it. I don't know of John still has those steak or chicken Phillies let me tell you they are the bomb.com. I love the crew they had in there this evening 07/02/2020 very friendly extremely nice. Great customer service.

Go there several times a week, almost every Friday night for the Catfish plate. But I took my granddaughter there Last week and ordered 2 Kids burgers with cheese and a order of Fries. When the girl told me it was 14:70 I said I ordered the Kid burgers which was either 2:59 or 2:99. She sAid that’s for the burger no cheese with cheese they’re 4:59?. Now that‘S a big rip off. They have lost a good customer!

Great experience. I had the chopped pork barbecue dinner plate. It was more than enough food and delicious. The service was fast and those serving were extremely pleasant. I’ll be back.
